beautifully converted from an 18th Century stone barn, the single storey cottage is set in idyllic surroundings in the heart
of West Dorset. The cottage provides a welcoming and peaceful retreat. Wonderfully warm, with its woodburning stove, in
Winter and cool and tranquil in Summer. With the garden door opening out onto a brick terrace, you can have breakfast basking
in the early morning sunshine, with views across farmland to Eggardon hill fort and the village Church of Askerswell, half a mile
away.
bedroom:
1 double bedroom comprising of:
6' double bed (can be converted to twin beds if preferred)
kitchen:
Cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, table and chairs for 2 (extra chairs are available). The kitchen is well equipped
and looks across the yard towards open farmland. If you would rather let someone else do the cooking for you so that you can
relax and enjoy your holiday, there are very good chefs locally who would be happy to discuss some menus which can then be dropped
off to your cottage. Alternatively the award-winning Washingpool Farm Shop is a wonderful source of home made meals and
organic produce.
laundry:
The laundry room is a short distance across the yard with washing machine, tumble drier, iron and board
and hanging racks.
bathroom:
1 shower room with handbasin and wc.
features:
Wood-burning stove, oil fired central heating, oak floors throughout, all linen included (not beach towels) and private spring-water
supply, rising on farm. Sunlight streams into the cottage and garden for most of the day. If you take the cottage for
two or more weeks, a service clean is provided at the end of each week with fresh linen. The Spyway Inn, providing very good
food, is only a 10 minute stroll away.
